Life in the Past Lane: History Along the Highways of New York State

Join us for a *Zoom program about the Erie Canal with Lisa Wemett and Terry Mulee!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

When you are on a road trip, history is always around the bend! Be open to learning about the Empire State with a spin on a carousel or two. Step into the 1800's to explore the history of the Erie Canal’s development and its engineering marvels.

Lisa and Terry are your tour guides, highlighting the sites that tell the story of this National Historic Landmark, its influence on the development of cities and the women’s rights movement, and the 20th century luminaries who followed the suffragettes!
